Explaining a technical product without dumbing it down
Three rewrites of the same paragraph, and why the third one converts.
By Bright Nwosu

Technical products do not need simpler language. They need clearer language. The goal is not to remove complexity — it is to place complexity where the reader can follow it.
We rewrote the same product paragraph three times: once for engineers, once for investors, and once for first-time users evaluating a free trial.
The version that converted best used one concrete outcome in the opening line, one mechanism in the middle, and one proof point at the close.
